April Brings Sadness

💔 April 20th Our Sweet Mya lost her 60 day (first symptom to euthanasia) fight with Liver Cancer - Memories 💝

MYA UPDATE: It's Day #20 since Diagnosis Liver/Spleen involvement - follow-up bloodwork & ultrasound in 12 days 🙏

She still has a Bright eye and excitement to 
visit friends at Agility class every Thursday!
Continues on meds to support liver, prevent bleeding, antibiotic, probiotic
and appetite stimulant: Ongoing issue is her roller-coaster appetite - 
sometimes YES sometimes NOPE!!!

MYA UPDATE DAY #30 - Lack of appetite continues to be her issue (on stimulant medication) and I've cooked her anything I can think of, buy or suggested - antibiotic is finished, she's lost weight, but still loves to go out with us to walk about or just lay in the sun - follow-up bloodwork & ultrasound 3/22/23 🙏

MYA UPDATE 3/25/23

Mya's 31st day Bloodwork & repeat 
Ultrasound were not good, although:

• Liver meds have improved liver bloodwork numbers
• but after antibiotics high WBCs have doubled
• Ultasound showed increasing masses on liver & spleen
• Her appetite continues poor

Plan of Care

• Comfort Measures
• Add Prednisone twice daily for Comfort and Appetite Stimulation

Mya is more herself on Prednisone: Bright eye, gradual increase in appetite/snacks, resuming her usual "duties" so,
