Our landscape is snow-covered and perfect for snowshoeing thru our own woods, a pocketful of kibble and a piercing whistle sound brings the girls at a gallop (and how yummy are "deerberries"), windy temps hovering near zero have safely frozen the pond for perfect ball chasing games ... the excercize of splitting and hauling firewood on sleds keeps the woodbox full ever other day, and "whenever" naps around the warm woodstove prove that Winter is sure in full swing ;o)

Willow will celebrate her 3rd birthday on Monday (1-28) ... she has not yet chosen her favorite "Performance Sport-dog" event, but she loves all the training(Agility, Rally Obedience & Tracking), loves a relaxed swim and more importantly, she's just the best loving snuggler ever ;o)

Sutter will be 11yrs in 2 weeks (with the heart/mind of a real youngster) and in her 10th year has proven that she can be a real "team" player on the Agility course ... her "wild-child" run-offs are only occasional when something new interupts her focus ... she's just a superstar in her Winter Agility League performances (6 teams of 6)  ;o)

Emma's 2nd birthday isn't till May 8th and her proud "brag" is just how much she loves her Agility "Doggie school" sessions and is showing just how well she's learned all her lessons ... a proud team!

We continue to have an occasional "camper" visit us ... over the holidays it's been Leena from SunKissed kennels ... we celebrate her first birthday on Wednesday (1-30) as she enjoys all the adventures that Camp Cedar has to offer ... running/chasing/tugging with 3 Golden camp-buddies, snowshoeing, ball retrieving, "bonie-chewing", learning some beginner Agility, sharing our fun of travel adventures and snuggling together by the cozy woodstove at day's end ;o)

... and finally, admittedly this Blogger is not the most savy when it comes to electronics ... Internet access has been really sketchy lately here in the woodsy country and Blogging has not been possible ... an exciting new device and hopefully we're back in business ... HURRAY ;o)

One month shy of the 3rd birthday of these precious cuties, Dazzle becomes a new mother of 6 girls & 3 boys and sister Willow becomes an auntie ... how time flies ;o)

Labor started about 7:30'ish with water braking and about 6 hours later, there were 9 new SunKissed additions ... several were "Breech" births (tail first) but Dazzle was a real trooper and warmed-up to this new "mother thing".

Tracking season has been replaced by 20 degree days and then dustings of snow that melted in 50 degree days ... windy days have dropped branches along our hiking path and the girls have now dawned their hunting vests for the season ... it's firewood season!

Blogging ... what better warm indoor project to do by the woodstove on a chilly, drizzly and windy afternoon of a predicted Nor'easter ... it feels like November hasn't had much "stimulating" sun, but it still feels like we're keeping quite busy!

Sutter has started running in the Winter Agility League in Vermont for the second year ... she's impressively demonstrating more "attention" and "self-control" ... completing the courses and making mom very proud (and it's only taken 10 yrs) ... it runs through February, so photos will follow later ;o)

This month also celebrates the 17th wonderful year of home ownership ... a cozy warm log home, a pond and 14 wonderful acres (and the projects that go with it) ... all shared with wonderful Golden girls and visiting "campers" ;o)
