The Passing of a Grand Dam :-(

Sophie
Sophie

This week, Willow's mom and Mya's grandmother crossed over the "Rainbow Bridge" and joined all our beloved dogs that were right there to greet her ... and off they all went, romping under the sunny bright blue sky, through fields of waving green grass, bright yellow flowers and flowing bodys of crystal blue water ... happy and painfree ;o) (Above photos by SunKissed Goldens)

Sophie loved "Pool-Time"

We'll miss Sophie at her family pool, but take comfort that she's enjoying great family company "Over the Rainbow Bridge"  ;o)

Sutter Shines at Winter Agility League!

2013-2014 Winter Agility League
(Photo & Course map by Lola Grab)

What a better way to to help endure this unbelievable winter than "playing" Agility with a buddy who has shared life's journey for 12 exciting years ... Sutter has enjoyed her 1:1 time since October in the League and when her handler had "a good brain day", we SMOKED the course ... Jumps, Tunnels, A-frame, Dogwalk, Weavepoles, See-saw ... all in a judge's designed course path of up to 20 obstacles in multiple directions and order!

Example: JUST FOLLOW THE NUMBERS!!!

Sutter's Team "Speed Demons" finished the season in 2nd place!

IT'S the BEST ;o)

"Dog training is not just about rewarding or punishing a particular behavior. Dealing with the underlying emotion that leads to the behavior is essential to any lasting treatment. When dogs rely on our emotional reactions to assess a situation as safe, neutral or fun, it becomes even more important for us to learn how to control ourselves, how to be mindful of our own fears. Anxiety, stress, joy and excitement are all contagious and lead to different reactions. We hold the ability to influence how our dog feels about the world and the more confident and positive we are, the more confidence and positive curiosity the dog will develop. Jennifer Cattet Ph.D."
