STORMING into July!

Just when the pond water level was leveling off, the meadow was just "squishy" underfoot and could be carefully mowed, along come Thunder Storms to usher in July by dumping 3 inches of rain and bringing the humidity back ... the Meadow is FLOODED AGAIN ... the girls helped "weeding" tall grass from the pond (what a muddy mess we all were, but any excuse to get in the water!) and bailing out the fleet of boats ... WHERE'S that SUN!?! ...So where were the girls when these July 1st photos were taken, you ask ... Exhausted and SLEEPING IN!!!

Piles of pulled pond grass (L) and FLOODED AGAIN!
Mr Beaver is adding to the flooding!

A little rearranging of "beaver stix" and water rushes again!
Zzzzzz...

Beautiful dry, sunny and breezy Sunday afternoon ... peddle-boat on the water, lots of  bumper retrieving for the girls, "a little" pond weeding and relaxing in the sun on the blanket ... Ahhh!
Kayak coming out soon, but only one girl can go at a time and usually another swimming along beside!

Mya (L on dock) went for a paddle down into the Marsh with
mom while the water level is still high enough to explore!

"Please .. new Holiday Bones!"

Perfect 4th of July (before dark and Fireworks!!!)!

...after swimming, kayaking and bones ... beautiful day!
Taking down dead trees (girls can't be out when chainsawing)

Down and pulled out of water!
Boulder "Ferry" across the pond to strengthen the Spillway!
Trees pulled and boulders rowed across pond to the Spillway dam ...
still "working" with Mr Beaver on the water level and Spillway strength!
Looking nicer without dead trees  👍

Memorial Day Weekend ... Closing out May!

Scent Tracking, Swimming, Running and Ice Cream ... overcast morning opened up to sunny blue skies with a slight breeze (with a few Blackflies!)

Days and days of rain ... pond water is high and meadow is flooded!

AH Ha ... a Beaver is building up the Spillway AGAIN!!!

OK Mr Beaver ... let's neaten it up and drop the water level a bit!!!
Water level is dropping slowly!
