Mya Goes Home for the Holiday ;o)

The Holidays aren't over till you receive your last gift ... so with all the reasons for postponements since before Christmas, the SunKissed-Golden Embers get-together was able to happen on a warm/rainy/foggy evening in January ... Mya marched right in to her "birth home", like she'd never left ... her dad and uncle greeted her and then it was on to greet the girls (all pleasant greetings and fun to watch) ... a wonderful time!
Our other 2 SunKissed girls (Willow and Emma) & Sutter patiently waited in the warm van while Mya shared her first holiday time! We all enjoyed Uncle Jonathan's yummy Tacos ;o)

What to Do on Frigid Days!

During 8+ days of near zero and subzero temps, the human doesn't want "OUT" as often as the 12 week old, 2+yr old, 4yr old and 12yr old ... 20 minutes outdoors and cravings for woodstove warmth heads us  indoors (well, one of us willingly) !!!

Frigid Start to 2014!!!

All of the girls Agility classes and activities have been on holiday break since Christmas Eve and cancelled into the new year due to extreme below zero cold and windchill ... the snowblower and woodsplitter have been busy and frozen pipes have been a frustration ... thank goodness for some heat of the woodstove ... just when time has been freed to enjoy the winter sports of beautiful snowcover, here comes a 50 degree day with pouring rain, changing the yard to an ice skating sceen!!!

BUT ... there was one semi-warm beautiful sunny Sunday that allowed travel after Church, for Mya to play at a "puppy social" class at Yankee Dog in Vermont ... there were 4 pups about the same age range, that met in a small "livingroom-like" setting to evaluate play styles ... then they moved on to a bigger long warehouse room with all kinds of things to experience!

Mya's first full loop hike and the girls first hike of the new year ... yummy "deerberries" and hunks of ice to chew at the open creek bank ... everyone came to the blow of the whistle and a handful of kibble ... carried Mya across the open water but she never failed to keep up with the big girls!
