Willow Starts Her Adventures!

First step, after marching in the door and claiming her "forever" home as her own, is to wiggle her way into acceptance by "Big Sister" Sutter ... I gave Sutter all the "space" that she seemed to need in the "acceptance" process ... she spent most of her time in our bedroom and when she was comfortable, she returned to time in her doorless kitchen crate, making sure that there was NO puppy pee on her blankets!!!
As with Lyric, it was an unexpected puppy YELP, that brought about the start of "sisterhood" bonding ... Willow wants to play but is still quite intimidated by Sutter's "Bullish" advances ... there has been some chasing, alot of sniffing, increased watching, following and sleeping "near" Big Sister!

I of course take every opportunity to cuddle my new lil' one in my lap, as I know those "special" moments pass all too soon and before you know it, that sweet puppy is just too big to fit on the lap ... yup, there are those sharp lil' puppy teeth, but I keep a small chew stick close at hand for "transfer" from mom's fingers to "bonie"
Adventures to date:
  • visited "Anty" and new cousins in Massachusettes ... it's fun going in the dog-van!
  • ran thru a few Agility tunnels at Sutter's "big doggie" school ...WHEEE!
  • met nice people at Agway & a local Pet Store (lots of pats & treats)
  • went to my first Agility trial and met friendly people and dogs!
  • overnight sleepovers with canine mom & siblings when new human mom worked ... she says it's too cold for me to sleep overnight in the van ... but soon!
  • first class at AK9C Puppy Kindergarten ... they loved all my toys!
  • first "OOOps" accidental swim in the pond "I did it, I can swim"...BURR!
  • playing with the BEST stuff in my own backyard!!!
  • saw my first deer this morning ... WOW ... gotta "Woof"
  • going to my doctor ... she will listen to my heart ... "hey, why do I need shots!!!"
Officially a PROUDFOOT for an amazing 6 days and looking forward to such exciting adventures ahead ...
It sure is wonderful to have HAPPINESS back in our HOME ;-))
