Willow's Photoshoot ;-)

Saturday I enjoyed my traditional birthday gathering with work and animal friends Janet & Lynn ... tender "mesquite" marinated steak on the grill and Janet's wonderful scalloped potatoe casserole with "extra" cheese!!! (Oh darn the cholesterol) ... we chuckled about this year's Lemon Meringue pie (with a broken oven door, it had to be cooked in unique ways ... we renamed it "Lemon Jelly Bean" pie (you had to be there!) ... everyone enjoyed meeting Janet's new foal and the our new puppy ... Willow found great sport in finding as many chicken poops as possible and Sutter just wanted to "get free" to run and chase chickens and cats!!!

On Sunday after Church, we all enjoyed  a fun, warm and sunny afternoon:

  • the girls and I met Kara & Willow's sister Dazzle, to socialize the 13 week old  SunKissed pups at the "One Stop" Pet Store Open House ... Yippeee, we won a raffle basket of toys ... all the folks gave the pups lots of attention and there were many yummy treats ;-)

  • went on to SunKissed kennel to help with "temperment testing" of the 7 week old "Dance" litter ... can't believe they are near ready for their "forever" homes! (missed your company Linda)

  • Kara brought out her "professional" camera and clicked these terrific photos!

  • Kara cooked yummy burgers on the grill, while Dazzle & Willow got quite wet running over the big underground pool cover  ;-)
Posted by PicasaToday the temps are a bit chilly, accumulating snowflakes are bending over the beautiful daffodils, tulips and pansies ... the woodstove is fired up just to take the chill off and it was a great morning for hot oatmeal ... not motivated to do much outside and the girls are content to stay in ... weekend promises to be near 80 degrees ... YES!!!

For the next 2 nights, the Proudfoot girls get to go to work with "mom" and snuggle together in the cozy "doggie" van ... looking forward to the "potty" breaks thru the night!
