When Temps are Frigid!

Even with sunshine, the temps are minus 8 degrees plus windchill and strong winds are bringing down branches all around ... outdoor playtime is somewhat limited to some "Chuck-It" play, hauling the sled with split firewood from the woodsplitter in the hay shed to the porch, collecting fallen branches from all around the yard for the kindling box and filling the birdseed & suet feeders!!!
Snow cover is just a coating after recent warm temps and rain, so there hasn't been any snowshoeing ... twice a week we're off to Vermont for Agility class & practice and this month Sutter & Emma have 3 Saturday Agility League games ... finally the pond's open areas appear to be freezing over, so the girls are hoping for some SAFE supervised pond games on the ice soon!
"We've been practicing and are ready for ICE time!"

Looks FROZEN ... Emma & Mya were nervously watched testing it !!!

Firewood is in and the woodstove is cranking ;o)

Meantime Mya is keeping herself  in shape indoors with her self-invented "Stair-Ball" game!

Mya drops the ball down the stairs...

Runs down to get it and runs back up!

Then she does it over, over & over again!!!

Since pond ice is now covered with snow, we went snowshoeing:

What's in there?
Emma

Go Sutter!!!
