Summer Doings ;o)

May's temps have been 30's to 90's with windy sunshine, extremely dry ground and NO rain ... the Dragonflies have arrived and so have the mosquitos ... get eating guys!!! The pond has a daily visit from an Otter who joins the Blue Heron to feed on small Hornpout, our seasonal pair of Canada geese have hatched 5 goslings, and 4-6 male Wood Ducks have been "cruising" during the day (female must be nesting)!

Emma is consumed with her new hobby of "fish watching"... she stands on the rocks in the shallow water just off the dock and stares intently for hours at the small Sunfish trying to scoop out areas for their egg nests ... the fish amazingly even swim between Emma's feet
