A few days shy of 8 weeks and weighing in at a whopping 8.2 pounds, Emma has grown enough to get her first vacinations and we welcomed our "Special" girl HOME ... she settles nicely into her X-pen at night, wakes to "potty" twice during the night and after a 1-2 minute fuss, settles right down till she hears us stiring come daylight ... she loves exploring, running with the "jugs-on-a-rope" and tries to run with the "big" girls, but hearing their "thunder", quickly retreats under the lawnchairs and just watches intently ;o)

Emma Approaching the 7 Week Mark ;o)

At her 6 week Vet check-up Emma weighed a whopping 4.6 pounds and her "Sweet" littermates ranged 6-10 pounds at 11 days older ... they got their first vacinations, stool tests and passed their Health Certificates for the next phase of their young lives - "Forever Homes" ... so Emma needs to have 6 meals a day for the next 2 weeks to put on weight before she can be vacinated ... Ohhh, don't misunderstand, she's a healthy lil' "spitfire", she loves new experiences and when not crashing for a power nap, she's on the move!!!

Emma 5 Weeks - Looking Like a Real Golden Retriever Pup ;o)

Time is just zooming by and I can't believe how "Dream" Emma has grown ... her "Sweet" littermates are 6+ weeks old and they all enjoyed a "Meet the Pups" cookout party this past weekend at SunKissed Kennels in Charlestown NH ... all carefully planned outdoor preparations had to be suddenly moved indoors due to "socked-in" RAIN ... but it easily came together thanks to SK "chief planner/host" Kara, "grillman" Jonathan; "details organizer/chief side-dish cook" Jean, "Mr Handy landscaper" Duane and "baker/food contributer" Linda ... a really great time was had by the 20 party folks and the food provided was absolutely scrumptous ;o)

OH YAH ... how I digress ... this was all about the puppies ... my 14 year old God-daughter Jessica was excited to spend the weekend, meet Emma and join in the doings of the puppy party (Sutter, Willow & foster Margo also attented, sharing from a distance in our dog van) ... pups met lots of folks, got lots of "pick-up holdings", started outdoor "potty training" and of course squeeked in their  lil' "power naps"  ... the next day they did get to play in their set-up outdoor pen under the party tent  ;o)
