Twice as Sweet ;-))

Meet Miss "Willow" (L) and Miss "Dazzle" (R) ... adorable 8 1/2 week old Golden Retriever pups from the SunKissed "Catch" litter, who are visiting Golden Embers "sleep-over" Camp (thanks Kara/Jonathan & Jean/Duane) ... they are adorable, smart, inquisitive, great explorers and just all round great campers!

Things learned:

  • sisters are great to chase and wrestle with!
  • cutest "clicker" sits with Cheerios rewards
  • newspapers at the "OUT" door are for night "pottys" or the ones that just can't wait for someone to notice "hey, we need to go out here!"
  • running fast & free with our ears blowing in the wind ... "yup, here comes my tail"!
  • ground holes are neat for snooping and digging in!
  • zooming thru a 20 ft tunnel is FUN!
  • running under low hanging pine branches in the new Pine grove is NEAT!
  • jumping 4" bars is "no big deal"
  • navagating "in/over" ground tires ... "hey slow down, I want to catch that bumper-on-a rope"!
  • playing with an old "beat-up" soccer ball, running & pulling "jugs-on-a-rope" and orange puppy bumpers on a long rope is sooo much FUN!
  • a romp thru the rain sprinkles is followed by a "fluff & dry" in a soft blankie by the woodstove!
  • "sit" at mealtime is mandatory before our dishes are placed before us!
  • chewing is for "Bully stix", Pigs Ears, rib bones and Nylabones and not pant legs, hands or bed blankies!
  • Oh ya ... leash walking ... hummm, well ... we've had one 5 minute session and there was "squirming, twisting, bronco-bucking and down right "NO-standing my ground" ... gotta start somewhere right????

There is swimming to learn, but that's for after the ice is gone, about second week of April and only the bravest venture out into the frigid water ... Lyric was one of those brave souls!

So the lil' campers will be back for extended "sleep-overs" to learn what Golden Embers has to offer through the seasons!

Rides in the "Cedar-Sage" rowboat, bumper/ball retrieving on gound and in water ... more puppy Agility experiences and just the freedom to run free on  10 acres secured by "Invisible Fence"!

...and the "count down" to that special "Remembrance" girl "Cinder" has started ... "Shimmer" due, hopefully the weekend of May 22nd ;-)
